Hasta La Vista ♥

Okay... so I've been posting two blogs a week and this is the last week. The reason for starting this blog was for school and to blog about what my mission statement was. If you look back and read my past blogs you can see that I have come far in my mission statement. Even though I may not put anymore blogs on here, I will continue to do my mission statement. So, to whoever actually reads this, sorry, probably no more blogs. Hasta la vista ♥

My Learning Style

On Monday, Mrs. Payne had the freshmen class take a test that told you what kind of learning style you were. When I took the test, my top two learning styles were Social and Aural. Social learning style is where you communicate well with other people and you like to learn in groups or classes. Aural learning style is where you like to work with sound and music. Both of these learning styles describe me because I like people and always like to be around them and I like music. ♥

Exercise

Over Thanksgiving Vacation, Mr. Durby gave everyone on the basketball team a sheet of paper with exercises on them and I did them (well... some of them). It was harder in the beginning, but as the days went on, I got better. Then on Monday, when we had basketball practice, I was in a little better shape then some of the girls. This counts as one of my goals because I exercised. ♥

Volleyball

I know this was awhile ago, but on Saturday November, HVA had a volleyball tournament. The classes played against each other to see who was the best. Even though the Freshmen didn't win, I still had fun. In the end, the Seniors won. This counts for one of my goals, because I got exercise when I played volleyball. ♥

Thankful...

I am thankful for:
~God because I know that he loves me and he died on the cross for me
~my mom because she is always there for me and does special things for me
~my dad because taught me a lot and like to play sports with me
~my little brother because he's fun to be around (sometimes)
~Jesi and Dani because I can tell them anything and know they won't tell anyone else
~all my other friends that I didn't mention because they are fun to be around
~my house because it's always warm
~my bunny because whenever I'm sad I go see him and he always cheers me up
~my grandma because even though she lives far away I know she is always there for me
~food because it's good and I know some people don't get to eat as much as I do

These are only few of the many things that I am thankful for ♥

Running

Over the weekend, I spent two nights at Dani's house. I had so much fun. Jesi was working at the cafeteria over the weekend, so Dani and I decided that we would run over to where Jesi was working. It was fun, and it felt good to get exercise. This counts as one of my goals because I got exercise.

Renweb

Today in class, Mrs. Payne gave us some pointers to help make Renweb more effective for us. I learned how to check my homework so that way I don't always have to rely on my memory. Now, that I have learned that, I will defiantly use it more often. Thanks! Up above, is a picture of the main page on Renweb. ♥

Win-Win Situation

Okay, here, at HVA, we're filling shoe boxes with items for young boys or girls of certain age groups. I haven't done mine yet, but I will. The shoe boxes are then sent out to the little people all around the world who are in need of them. It's called Operation Christmas Child. It's a win-win situation because I get to help out people and the people get fun stuff to play with. ♥

Tests

On Friday, November 7, everyone in my Bible 1 class took a test. The only reason I didn't take it, was because I was sick. I hated being sick, but I didn't have to take my Bible test on Friday. Instead, I took it on Monday, after school. It was hard, and there was a lot to study for, but I studied, and I only missed 2! I was so happy! The test was worth a lot of points, but I still got a good grade! This counts as one of my goals because I got a good grade on my Bible test!

Academy Days

On Monday, November 3, there were a lot of 7th and 8th graders that came to HVA to see how they liked it. We went around different classes to show them what it's like to go to HVA. They handed out prizes and T-shirts. I met some new people. This counts as one of my goals because I met new people. This counts for November 6.

Reading...

I was sick on Wednesday, November 5, and Friday, November 7. I had a sore throat and bad congestion. While I was sick, I slept and I also read a book. This will help me get a good grade, because at the end of the semester, I have to turn in a Book Review. It's a good book and I can't wait to finish it! This counts as one of my goals. This is for November 6. ♥

Exercise

One of my favorite things to do, when I don't have homework or chores, is to exercise. I like to play different sports just for fun. I like to watch sports too, but playing them you can get more exercise, which is one of my goals this year. When I play, I can get better each time. My favorite sport to play is basketball even though I do enjoy running.

Meeting New People

On Sunday, there was a yard sale for Highland View Church. I went there to help out my freshman class raise money. At the yard sale there were a lot of people. I met Bob and Jim McCain. They are the sons of Mrs. McCain, who is the assistant cook at Highland View Academy. Bob and Jim were funny and enthusiastic. This counts as one of my goals for this year. ♥

Tests

In Environmental Science, I had a test. It was about the atmosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. There was a lot to study for, but I did and I got a good grade. Also, in Bible, I had a test. It was about the History of the Bible, anyway, I studied and I got a good grade too. This counts as one of my goals, because I got good grades. ♥

Reading Part of the Bible

On Sabbath, I was really bored. Then I remembered that reading the Bible was one of my goals this year. So, I picked up a Bible. At my old school, we used to sing this song that used some of the verses from the Bible. I remembered the verses, so I decided to read that chapter, Psalm 51. It’s about David asking God to have mercy on him for committing adultery with Bathsheba. The beginning of the song starts at verse 10. I like the song, so I decided to read the whole chapter. Anyways, I completed one of my goals. ♥

My Future Husband

There are many things that I would like in a future husband...
Here are a 10 of them ;)

I would want him to:

~ be honest and trustworthy
~ be athletic
~ be a happy person
~ be able to make me laugh or put a smile on my face
~ be attractive
~ be kind and caring
~ be good with kids
~ be willing to have kids
~ have fun and to be fun
~ know that I am who I am, and love me no matter what ♥

My Favorite Bible Text

I have a lot of favorite Bible texts but this one is defiantly in the top 3. It just makes sense. There are certain times for things and certain times for other things. This text inspires me because I think if I like this text so much, is there any more like this in the Bible? It makes me want to read the Bible more, which is one of my goals!

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for
peace.

My Bad Experience

I've had many bad experiences. But thankfully, I only have to write about one of them. This is kind of embarrassing, but it's the only one I could think of. One time I was walking down the street backwards with some of my friends. We were walking and talking and all of a sudden I trip... and fall. My friends laugh at me, and then I get up. I've learned to watch where I'm going and to not walk backwards while talking. ♥

Barn Party

Last Saturday night, there was a Barn Party and HVA. It was so much fun. There was a fire pit, and even square dancing. There were people dressed up on costumes and people just in regular clothes. I got to talk to people that I normally didn't talk to and I learned more about the people I usually talk to. There were a group of kids from California too. This counts as one of my goals this year, to meet new people. I met a few people from California, so that was cool.

My Legacy ♥

If I died today, I would want to be known as someone who:

~is energetic
~is
caring
~has crazy sayings that usually make no sense whatsoever
~is a good, trustworthy friend
~loves God
~you can always have fun with
~is always talking
~is
creative
~laughs a lot
~is helpful
~is
outgoing
~always trying to do well in school

I just want people to remember that I was myself and I wouldn’t change or become someone else. I’m a unique person, and I like it that way! ♥
